The world's best creative talent, one conversation at a time.

I've always been someone who finds things and shares them. A piece of work that stops you mid-scroll, a designer you've never heard of doing something quietly brilliant — that instinct to say have you seen this? is really where Folkcrafters comes from.

It started as FormFiftyFive in 2007, which was just me paying attention and putting things online. By 2018 it had grown into something more focused, with its own name and a clearer sense of what it was: a showcase for the world's best creative talent, and a community that gathered around a shared love of the work.

I'm Glenn Garriock, Scottish, based in Uetze in Northern Germany, and working in design for longer than I sometimes care to admit. Alongside Folkcrafters I run Garriock & Co., a studio built around senior design leadership and trusted creative talent for teams that need to move fast. Mike Sullivan and I have worked with everyone from early-stage startups to Apple, Nike, Adobe, and the BBC.

Folkcrafters has always lived separately from that work. It's where I come to follow my curiosity, hosting the podcast, curating the stories, finding the gems worth sharing.
